When we started Spray Away Exterior Cleaning we found a lot of equipment wasn't available here in New Zealand. After researching what we thought to be the most efficient way to wash we found many products to be very expensive to import. We set about researching if we could make some of the products ourselves with different components and trialed them to see if they would hold up to daily use. They turned out to be a great success and when showing other exterior cleaners and being asked "could you make me one of those" and "where did you get that from and can you get me one"

Spray Away Equipment was born.

We have partnered with various overseas suppliers to import some products that we felt should be available to our industry that weren't. Buying in bulk made discounts available and freight cheaper.

We are always on the lookout for new product releases and always prepared to give something a try if we feel it will make our job easier or more efficient as this at the end of the day is good for business.

Some of our products we have sourced components from overseas and New Zealand and put them together with a "kiwi spin on it". Like our remote downstream kits, many of the kits supplied in America have big flashing lights on them. I thought about this and thought "if I'm on the other side of a house, I'm not going to be able to see that so why add the cost of this to a kit". A simple on/off switch that lights up the exterior of the switch when its on seemed to be a much more logical cost effective solution. All of our products are made to be simple but effective.

M5 Twist/Shooter tip combo

This is, in my opinion, one of the best purchases I ever made. If you downstream and want to soft wash, you cant find a better combo. No need to use pressure tips.

The M5 adjustable nozzle goes from 0-60 degree fan and the Davis Shooter tip gives you that little bit higher reach with a more tighter stream. Both mounted in a aluminium holder with 1/4 size quick connects.

Both tips allow you to apply cleaning solution and rinse 3 storeys high, sometimes 4 depending on your machine and weather conditions.

Combined with a remote system you can wash a whole property without the need to return to your machine to remove the downstream tube from your cleaning solution.

Remote Downstream Kit

Some say lazy, I say efficient. Thats what this kit is about.

We have all been up on a balcony and forgotten to put the downstream hose in the cleaning solution. You have to climb down the ladder, put the hose in and climb back up. 

This kit allows you to turn your soap on and off at the touch of a button. Push ON on the remote and the switch lights up blue and about 10 seconds later you are applying soap. Push OFF and the light goes out and you are now rinsing without the need to walk back to your rig.

Many kits that are available of this nature use a standard electric ball valve which just turns the soap line off to the injector. Our kit uses a 3 way valve and switches between water and soap so when you are rinsing you are also flushing your injector making them last longer.

The kit also includes a small metering valve allowing you to turn down the amount of solution going to the injector.

Kit comes complete with 2 remotes, 6m of 1/4 hose, 2m of power cable.

Maxx Blend Mixing Manifold

This product is what started me down the soft wash road and making things. It just made sense. I started by combining a lot of plumbing fittings which works just fine but its not very attractive and has many joins. Many have what they call a "batch tank" which you premix your cleaning solution to the desired strength and then use various style pumps to apply that premixed solution. My problem with that is what if your premixed solution is wrong for the job at hand, what if you have made a 3% mix and its not working and you need a 4-5% mix or its actually working to well and only requires a 2% mix. The math involved becomes very difficult to change your mix. 

With the Max Blend Manifold you can change your mix at the turn of a valve making your job that much easier.

Remote Bypass Kit

A step up from the remote downstream injector kit is this Remote bypass kit. Its main purpose is to "bypass" your downstream injector. By doing so it gives you full flow to your gun by not having to go through the restrictive orifice of the injector. It uses a high torque actuator on the most common DN10 ball valve on the market for ease of replacement if need be. (I have been  using the same one for 3 years so far). The system uses the same remote module and mounting bracket with a 2m lead to actuator valve and 2m battery lead. All quick connects and fittings are stainless and we can also supply different venturi injectors and a whip line with stainless fittings.
